Nothing is Impossible

President Biden promised to get 100 million Americans vaccinated against covid-19 in his first 100 days in office. This pledge sounded so ambitious at first but now it seems that the US will be crushing that goal.

This is an example of the American way of thinking and acting big. Americans like to set bold and ambitious goals; they work hard to attain them and keep fighting when things are getting tough. They also believe that the only real limits are self-imposed and that nothing is impossible.

“Destiny is not a matter of chance; it is a matter of choice”

Non-American entrepreneurs that have limited experience dealing with this way of thinking, sometimes see Americans as naïve and respond with objectivity and skepticism. Do not hope that such a reaction will lead to appraisal for ‘critical thinking’ skills but instead be prepared to be called negative and pessimistic.

If you want to work harmoniously and effectively together with Americans, you need be aware of the cultural differences. Even with English as common language, it is easy to fall into cultural traps and harm your relationships.

The importance of understanding the business culture is crucial to build a successful business in the USA. That's why I have created the webinar “Business Culture in the USA”. You are cordially invited to join this webinar on March 17 more information.
