Yesterday, I was honored to visit Nuro's headquarters in Mountain View, a company at the forefront of developing autonomous delivery vehicles. I was impressed by their crystal-clear vision of becoming the "Windows" of autonomous vehicles, their ability to adapt to new realities, and their boldness in taking risks to shape the future of mobility.
Coincidentally, on the very same day, we learned that GM is pulling the plug on Cruise, their robotaxi business. This news is a stark reminder of the challenges and complexities of pioneering new technologies.
The automobile sector is undergoing monumental changes; first electrification and now robotization. The coming years will undoubtedly be pivotal as this industry continues to evolve and impact our lives.
